before i go to bed

I have to be at work at 4:30 tomorrow morning. Ew.

So work from 4:30-9:30 am, then I'm going to the gym. Then I'm taking a nap. Then I'm free for the rest of the day. Then I'm going to bed early.

Going to bed soon since I have to wake up so early. Wish I was at the beach again like I was last week.

Really wish I was at the beach again.

on holiday

I have Michael Buble stuck in my head. More specifically, his rendition of Me & Mrs Jones. lol. I win.

Trying to drink water and get out whatever is left of the alcohol in my system before I go to sleep. Had a cosmo with dinner tonight and since I'm such a lightweight... i have to wait until I'm completely sober before I nod off.

The past three days have been crazy. Awesome but they went by too fast. The Memorial Day minibreak holiday!

Thursday I drove up to Ventura with my mom to go camping at this one campsite near the beach that apparently my family used to go to a lot when I was growing up. I only remember being there once when I was about six or seven on mothers day and a bird pooped on my mom. lol. ANYWAY. So we drove up and I ended up having coffee with a friend for a bit before I headed back set up camp avec ma mere.

Camping is fun but I'm picky and I like and kind of need something soft to sleep on because of my back. So sleeping on the ground was kind of poopy.

Friday was just a total blur because I didn't sleep much and was tired. At some point I met up for coffee with my friend again and we sat there for a good two hours just talking.

Later, mom and I decided we didn't feel like camping again so we got a hotel room with nice giant soft beds. Oh to sleep in a soft bed.... lol.

Today I went shopping (what's new haha), had lunch with mom & my aunt, watched Anne of Green Gables and then went to dinner with mom & my aunt.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

someone neeeds to just tell me to shut up because i talk/type too much.

cheers

nip/tuck

I started watching Nip/Tuck today (I love renting entire tv series at Blockbuster) and the verdict is that....

I fucking LOVE nip/tuck. it's funny, witty, has good dialogue/writing, a good pace and most importantly... Julian McMahon. Julian McMahon wearing bright orange shirts and being injected with botox against his will, taking his damn clothes off every 10 minutes of the show..... lol. It's a fun show. I enjoy the whole cast but Julian really does it for me.

...My apologies if this photo is so hot that your screen melts, or you drool onto your keyboard.

He's hot, he's 39, he's Australian and 6'2. Need I say more? mmm. Then again, I had a thing for him when he was on Charmed, lol.

Speaking of charmed, I've been watching the whole series on dvd as well. lol. Oh the big clunky chunky-heeled shoes of the late nineties. Seriously, people wore fugly heels in 1998. I know I did. At the tender age of 12, I actually had a pair of pinkish purple strappy heels that I wore to a dance. The heels were so chunky and ugly but that was the style... lol. Oh I love shoe trends.

Okay enough of my joys.... which are usually men and shoes. lol how shallow am I?

difficulties of living in two states

UGHHHHH so frustrating.

Filling out an online application to take a class or two this summer at the local community college (so i don't go out of my mind with boredom) and the questions are a total pain in the ass. Asking me about my residency status and taxes and stuff like that... For example, this one question asked me if I declared residency in another state for tax purposes... and i had to think for a minute before I remembered that no, I declared non-resident when I filled out my taxes for Massachussetts. God. What a pain in the ass.

Living in two states is a really huge pain in the ass. i.e. where you get your mail, taxes, friends, jobs, etc etc.

You should always keep one permanent address with someone else in case something happens and you move and forget to change your address.

I reeeeally want to go on a vacation somewhere warm and sunny and tropical. Like Tahiti. Mmm. I want to lay around on a hammock on a nice sandy beach and take a lot of naps. lol. Oh the wishes of the insomniac. So yes. Tahiti. Beach. Hammock. And some good books! I could catch up on all my reading that I'd like to do.

annnnyway. that's all for now.

They don't make em like Fitzwilliam Darcy anymore

You know that David Bowie song "I'm Afraid of Americans" ?

Yeah well I'm afraid of Donny Osmond.

Why aren't men today like the men in the Jane Austen books? I mean I know it's fictional, but come on. Fitzwilliam Darcy, Col. Brandon, Mr. Knightly, Capt. Frederick Wentworth, Mr. Bingley........ WHY DO MEN LIKE THIS NOT EXIST ANYMORE?!?! I'm missing out on the cravats and breeches and MANNERS and guys on horseback and giant estates like Pemberley and when a woman's virtue was as brittle as it was beautiful. Today they're just... ugh. *sulks*

Can someone please give me a few thousand dollars to fly to New York so I can buy Manolo Blahniks? That would be most kind and generous.

Yours etcetera,
Kate

it's may!

I'm eating cold pizza on my bedroom floor, listening to Michael Buble in my pajamas. I win. 8D

I was at Cost Plus world market today and I bought some cool shit, but one thing I didn't buy and it's kitschy and I really want it.

alpaca! it's made with real alpaca wool. how awesome is that?! <33333 waaaaant.

I bought this satchel/messenger bag/purse

Later I went to a gallery opening with Natalie. A few of my friends were part of FEARLESS at Abacot Gallery in Chinatown in LA. It's up thru May 5. I really wish I had $4000 to spend on paintings there. Eessh.

Anyway that's pretty much it.
